Mark has served on the City Council since 2013. He has 3 children—Ali, Laetyn, and Rowan, who all have attended Cedar Falls Schools. He has lived in Cedar Falls since childhood.
Mark loves Cedar Falls and everything it offers. Downtown, the university, the river, recreational opportunities, visionary roadways, the trail system—they all lend a hand to an outstanding quality of life in Cedar Falls. Prior to his role on the Council, he served on numerous city and visioning committees.

Mark attended both UNI and Hawkeye Community College prior to starting his own residential remodeling business in 2006.
