Notice is hereby given that the City of Cedar Falls is currently preparing its Annual Action Plan for the period of City Fiscal Year 2022-2023 (Federal Fiscal Year 2022). The City of Cedar Falls will apply for Community Development Block Grant funds (CDGB) from the U.S. Department of Housing (HUD) in the amount of $259,801. The City will also receive HOME Investment Partnership funds in the approximate amount of $117,816 in accordance with the Consortium Agreement with the City of Waterloo.
In accordance with the Final Rule for revised program regulations, 24 CFR, Parts 91, et. al., the Cedar Falls Citizen Participation Plan, and Cedar Falls Consolidated Plan, the City of Cedar Falls will conduct a public meeting and hearing to discuss housing and community development needs identified in the Annual Plan. The purpose of both is to obtain the views and comments of individuals and organizations relative to housing and community development needs that may be addressed by CDBG and HOME funds. An opportunity will also be presented to comment on the City's performance in carrying out CDBG and HOME activities. Individuals and organizations will also be given the opportunity to recommend specific activities to be carried out with City Fiscal Year 2022-2023 CDBG and HOME funds.

The City of Cedar Falls City Council will consider comments on the proposed plan prior to adoption by the City of Cedar Falls on (July 5th, 2022). The City intends to submit its Annual Action Plan to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on or before July 15, 2022.
Information relative to the City Fiscal Year 2022-2023 (Federal Fiscal Year 2022) Annual Action Plan is available on the City’s website at www.cedarfalls.com or in paper format during normal business hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday at the Community Development Department at City Hall, 220 Clay Street, Cedar Falls, IA.
