[ARCHIVED] Flooding Update 6:45 a.m.

The Cedar Falls Public Works complex has been flooded. Floodwaters from Dry Run Creek broke through a temporary dike early Tuesday. The recycling center and refuse transfer station will be closed until floodwaters recede.

There will be regular garbage pickup.

A large sewage lift station in the complex is in jeopardy which could cause problems in the sanitary sewer system in areas adjacent to Dry Run Creek.
