Beginning Tuesday, August 4, 2020, the contractor will begin Phase 2 of the reconstruction work on Madison St by closing Madison St from the centerline of White Way Drive east to Waterloo Road. This work requires a full road closure due to full depth panel replacement and utility replacement. The closure is expected to last up to eight (8) weeks and be complete by September 24, 2020.
For safety’s sake, please stay away from the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth on the closed street. Attached you will find a map with the closure area highlighted.
During the closure, alternate garbage pickup points will be required for residents who normally place automated collection carts within the closure area. Residents can place their collection carts on the open portion of Madison St or Waterloo Road during this stage of the street closure. This should be done on the normal collection day for that particular street. Multiple address labels have been provided to each resident for their carts.
Yard waste collection carts can be placed curbside at the same location as the garbage collection carts. Yard waste may also be taken to the transfer station in any type of container when the transfer station is open.
Postal Service and mailboxes will be located to a central location on Madison St.
