Downtown Streetscape and Reconstruction Project- The bricklaying contractor has begun placement of the sidewalk bricks along West 4th Street. As the concrete contractor finishes the hand pours on the south side of the street, the bricklaying contractor will continue placing the bricks on the south side. On East 4th Street, installation of the watermain and storm sewer will continue over the week. The contractor has placed the bricks on the east side of the 400 block of the parkade closest to the businesses and will finish installing the bricks after the subdrain, conduit, and remaining concrete hand pours are completed between the curb and the new bricks.

West 1st Street/HWY 57 Expansion- For the week of August 2, crews continue to work on the north half of the Hudson Road intersection with underground utilities. Head-to-Head traffic pattern on W. 1st Street/HWY 57 will remain on the southern lanes. The current construction will continue to result in restricted turning movements at the Hudson Road intersection. Trailered vehicles should choose alternative routes to avoid turning at the intersection.

2021 Street Construction Project

Brandilynn Boulevard (Stage 2) will be paved this week (the contractor's paver had experienced mechanical issues, causing a short delay).
McClain Drive Stage 2 work has resumed from Lilac Lane north past the Maplewood Drive intersection. The contractor has completed the watermain installation and will begin working on the storm sewer and water services this week.
The mainline pave for Washington Street was completed on July 29, with the remaining paves and hand pours to be completed over this week and the following week.
The three sanitary sewer patches are currently being repaired on Cadillac Drive ahead of the upcoming asphalt overlay.
Intersection sidewalk removals have been completed on Pheasant Drive ahead of the upcoming asphalt overlay.
Union Road Recreation Trail
During the week of July 26, Lodge has been installing culverts and aprons under the driveways and working on grading. Melli also installed the cast in place intake at station 32+75.
Cedar Heights Drive Reconstruction (Cedar Heights Drive & Greenhill Road)
During the week of July 26, the contractor (PCI) is setting up SWPPP controls and starting to saw cut for removals at the Cedar Heights and Greenhill intersection.
