Downtown Streetscape and Reconstruction Project- The concrete contractor has finished the hand pours on the south side of W 4th Street and the bricklaying contractor will continue placing the bricks on the south side. On East 4th Street, installation of the watermain and storm sewer will continue this week. The contractor will finish installing the bricks after the subdrain, conduit, and remaining concrete hand pours are completed between the curb and the new bricks on the East side of the 400 Block of the parkade.

West 1st Street/HWY 57 Expansion- For the week of August 9, crews will be continuing with work on the northern half of the Hudson Road intersection by final grading and preparing for paving operations. Depending on the weather, paving will commence later in the week or early the following week. Head-to-Head traffic pattern on W. 1st Street/HWY 57 will remain on the southern lanes. The current construction will continue to result in restricted turning movements at the Hudson Road intersection. Trailered vehicles should choose alternative routes to avoid turning at the intersection.

2021 Street Construction Project

Brandilynn Boulevard Stage 2 has now been paved, and the driveways will be poured back this week.
McClain Drive Stage 2 work has continued working on the storm sewer and water services. They plan to continue the storm sewer installation this week. \\
The mainline paves and remain hand pours for Washington Street were completed.
The three sanitary sewer patches are nearly repaired on Cadillac Drive ahead of the upcoming asphalt overlay.
Intersection sidewalk pours have been completed on Pheasant Drive ahead of the upcoming asphalt overlay.
Union Road Recreation Trail
During the week of August 2, the contractor (Lodge Construction Inc.) has been working on getting the trail to final grade. HRS has been placing paving hubs. Lodge is waiting on coordination with Van Dorn for paving the trail and removal and replacement of the driveways and mobile home entrances.
Cedar Heights Drive Reconstruction (Cedar Heights Drive & Greenhill Road)
For the week of August 9, the crew will continue to work on temporary paving on Greenhill Road and Chadwick Drive Extension. A traffic pattern switch will occur on Greenhill Road where inside lanes will be closed for median removal and paving. An additional lane closure will occur on Tuesday, August 10, on Greenhill Road at Prairie Parkway for traffic signal-related work for this project. Traffic for this phase will be maintained on both Greenhill and Cedar Heights Drive
