In recognition of the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, the below Cedar Falls City facilities will observe the following hours:
City Hall: Closed May 30
Hearst Center for the Arts: Closed May 30 (please note, the Hearst Center is always closed on Mondays)
Cedar Falls Public Library: Closed May 29 and May 30
Cedar Falls Community Center: Closed May 30
Cedar Falls Visitor Center: Closed May 30
The Cedar Falls Recreation and Fitness Center: Open May 27 from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Open May 28 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Open May 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Closed May 30.
Opening day at The Falls Aquatic Center will be May 28 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (weather permitting). They will be open on May 29 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on May 30 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please note that due to Cedar Falls schools remaining in session, The Falls will be open from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on May 31 and June 1.
Season passes for The Falls are available now at the Rec Center.
Yard Waste Collection
The Cedar Falls Transfer Station located at 1524 State Street will be closed on May 30. There will be no yard waste pick-up or drop-off on this date. There will be no makeup date.
Small quantities of yard waste can be brought to the Transfer Station from Tuesday through Saturday or taken to the Compost Facility in the 300 block of East Main Street. Yard waste pickup will resume on June 6.
