The Cedar River is currently experiencing an ice jam located above the impoundment upstream of the Center Street Bridge.
The City of Cedar Falls will continue monitoring the situation, but please be advised the river gage elevations downstream will not accurately reflect elevations above the impoundment.
In the event of an emergency including potential ice or water rescue, the community should always contact Cedar Falls Public Safety by dialing 911.
