Main Street Reconstruction Project

Location: Main Street (6th Street to Seerley Boulevard) | Active Closures/Detours: Main Street from 6th to 9th Street and 18th Street to 21st Street

For the week of April 17, the City's contractor, PCI, will continue installing the sanitary sewer from 18th to 21st Street and will begin the installation of the new sanitary sewer from 6th to 9th Street. The installation of the sanitary sewer and watermain will be taking place over the following few weeks.

Olive Street Box Culvert

Location: Olive Street (Between 20th and 21st Street) | Active Closures/Detours: Olive Street Bridge Closed and Pettersen Plaza Closed

For the week of April 17, the City's contractor, PCI, will continue with the installation of the retaining wall along the easterly extent of the project. Other crews will continue working on associated backfilling operations and placement of end sections as well as preparing for plaza-related work. 

West 27th Street Reconstruction

Location: West 27th Street between the high school and Hudon Road | Active Closures/Detours: West 27th Street

For the Week of April 17, paving operations will continue at the Greenhill and West 27th Street roundabout. Grading and underground utility crews will continue to the west during the current paving operations to work ahead for the tie-ins required at the new High School Site entrances on West 27th Street.

West Viking Industrial Park Expansion (Phase I)

Location: West Viking Industrial Park

For the week of April 17, PCI will be continuing with paving operations at the northern intersections, grading operations near the Technology Parkway Expansion, ongoing seeding operations, and tree planting operations on the West Viking Industrial Park Expansion project. Other crews will be working on the new Technology Parkway extension to the west with underground utility placement.

US 218 and IA 27 Interchange Project

Location: US 218/IA27/IA57/IA58 Interchange | Active Closures/Detours: Lane reduction and SB IA 58 ramp closed

For the week of April 17, PCI will be continuing with paving operations at the northern intersections, grading operations near the Technology Parkway Expansion, ongoing seeding operations, and tree planting operations on the West Viking Industrial Park Expansion project. Other crews will be working on the new Technology Parkway extension to the west with underground utility placement.

IA 58 and Ridgeway Reconstruction 

Location: IA 58 between US 20 and Viking Road | Active Closures/Detours: Single lane closure on IA 58 south of Viking Road

For the week of April 17, Owen Contracting will continue working on the northern shoulders of US 218 and IA 57 ramps. Follow signed detour and construction signage for changed and reduced lanes. During this initial phase, southbound IA 58 exit ramp will be closed and detoured utilizing the Lone Tree Road exit and entrance ramps on 218.

2023 Street Construction Project

 West 18th Street (Hudson to Campus) and Madison Street (Belle to Virgil)

Active Closures/Detours: West 18th Street (Summit to Campus)

For the week of April 17, the City's contractor, PCI, will begin the installation of the sanitary sewer located along West 18th Street from Summit to Campus. The pavement removals have already been completed and the contractor will be focusing on the installation of the sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer within this first closure area over the following few weeks.
