Passes and Rates

To help the community enjoy The Falls, the City of Cedar Falls is restructuring the rates for the 2023 season.  Season passes will undergo a significant decrease in price to allow for increased flexibility for area families. The cost of a pool pass at The Falls for Cedar Falls residents will be $40 for adults and $50 for youth (17 years and under). For non-residents, it will be $60 for both adults and youth. The decreased passes will take the place of a family pass, which will no longer be available.

"The previous family pass was specific for a family of five, but not every family is the same," said Cedar Falls Recreation Manager Mike Soppe. "A family of two then had to pay the same price as a family of five. By decreasing season pass rates for all, passes can be purchased for what actually applies to their own unique circumstances."

"We are hopeful the public will take advantage of the decreased seasonal passes in place of our higher daily rates this year," Soppe said. "If problems do arise, as may happen when you have large groups of people in a singular location, it is easier to hold accountable registered pass holders that may be in violation of rules and take steps to prevent future issues if necessary."

Lap swimming/water walking passes will also be available at a decreased rate for 2023. Lap swimming/water walking only passes will be $40 for residents and $60 for non-residents.

Daily admission at The Falls for the 2023 season will be $3 for infants (two and under), $12 for youth, and $10 for adults.

No refunds will be provided if pool closures or revised hours occur due to staffing shortages or inclement weather.

Events

The annual Black Hawk Area Swim Team Summer Sizzler will be held July 6 – 9. The lap pool will close at 4:00 p.m. on July 6 and remain closed until 1:00 p.m. on July 9 for the event.

The annual doggy dip will be held on August 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (weather and staff permitting) at The Falls. All licensed dogs must be accompanied by at least one adult owner and up to two additional humans. The cost of admission is $5 per dog (includes owner). Additional owners/guests are $4 each. Season swim passes will not be honored. All those entering the pool area should be prepared to get wet.

The team at the Cedar Falls Recreation Division is looking forward to providing fun aquatic opportunities for the community this year. Please contact the Rec at (319) 273-8636 with any questions concerning the 2023 summer season.
