Beginning Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the contractor will begin reconstruction of the alley from 2nd Street to 3rd Street between Main Street and State Street. In order for the contractor to begin, an alley closure will be required. For Phase 1 of the alley, the southern half of the alley will be closed. The closure will be in effect for three (3) to six (6) weeks, depending on the weather. Please see the closure area highlighted on the map below.
Garbage and yard waste collection will temporarily be moved onto the side streets (East 2nd Street and East 3rd Street). The time and day of pickup will not change for the duration of this closure.
For safety's sake, please stay away from the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth in the closed alley. It would be advisable to stay behind the sidewalk on the property side during the reconstruction work.
