The City of Cedar Falls is implementing a service whereby citizens can receive an email to their email account or a text message to their cell phone in the event of an emergency situation that warrants such notification. To participate in this service, go to www.cedarfalls.com/notify. You then select the Emergency Notification listings you want. You may register for both email and text message notification. You may change your subscription at any time by going to www.cedarfalls.com/notify, entering either your email address or cell phone text address, and clicking the Subscribe/Manage button.
Notice: Notification will be determined on the basis
of the nature of the emergency, public safety, and
timing. By signing up for this service, there is no
guarantee that you will be notified of every event.
The determination of whether the emergency notification list will be activated will be made by a public official while taking into consideration all relevant factors under the particular circumstances.
