[ARCHIVED] City Obtains Contractor For Help With Debris Removal

The City has hired contractors to assist with the clean up of storm damaged trees and branches. The contractors will be picking up all storm debris placed in the parking area between the sidewalk and the curb. Residents are asked to assist by placing the debris at the curb as soon as possible.

This process may still take several weeks to complete, so residents are still encouraged to take their storm debris to the city compost facility located on the 300 blk of North Main Street. Assistance from residents will greatly speed up the City’s recovery efforts. The compost facility will remain open daily, including Saturday, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm until further notice.

Residents are urged to keep vehicles off the street in order to allow the clean up to occur as quickly and efficiently as possible. There will be areas posted with “no parking” signs and violators will be issued a citation and/or towed.
