[ARCHIVED] Waste Reduction Event

The Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission, along with the Cedar Falls Utilities, is sponsoring an Energy & Environmental Fair Saturday, September 26th, at the Cedar Falls Utilities, 1 Utility Parkway, in Cedar Falls. The commission is funding a free household hazardous materials drop-off event for Black Hawk County residents from 9:00AM- 2:00PM at the fair. To see a list of toxic materials that will be accepted at the event, click here.

New to the fair this year, the Waste Management Commission is subsidizing a backyard compost bin sale. Bins will be sold at the low cost of $35/bin. For more details about the Earth Machine compost bin sale, click the compost bin flyer link below.
