[ARCHIVED] Sturgis Falls Celebration

This year’s theme pays tribute to the role of traditions, including the Sturgis Falls Celebration, in the lives of families throughout the community.

Musical entertainment begins at 11:00 am on Friday with Picnic in the Park and Afternoon Tunes in Overman Park. Throughout the weekend, the Kidsway Tent will feature many hands-on activities for children while the Kidsway Stage will feature free entertainment for children. The parade on Saturday morning will feature the ever-popular United States Marine Band from Albany, Georgia. New additions this year are a 50s & 60s dance on Saturday night, the Sturgis Falls Classic Car Show on Sunday afternoon, and the Dale Earnhardt Experience all weekend in Tourist Park.

Perhaps the most unbelievable aspect of this entire weekend is that it is TOTALLY FREE! There is no admission charge to any of the concerts or stage shows. Visitors can meander through four parks enjoying a wide variety of music and entertainment and not have to spend one penny.

The celebration has earned distinction as an American Bus Association Top 100 Events for 2006 and 2007.
