[ARCHIVED] Electronics Recycling and Household Hazardous Materials Drop-Off Event

All Black Hawk County residents are invited to the upcoming Electronics Recycling and Household Hazardous Materials Drop-off on Saturday, April 12th at the Waterloo Waste Water Treatment Plant, 3505 Easton Ave., Waterloo.  The drop-off will take place 9:00AM- 2:00PM and is co-sponsored by the Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission and the City of Waterloo.  To see the list of electronics and toxic materials that will be accepted from households at the event, click here.
 
Household hazardous materials will be accepted for free from county residents, whereas fees apply for older computer monitors and TVs, which contain Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs).  During the drop-off event two CRTs will be accepted per vehicle/household at no charge.  Each additional CRT will be $5.00.  A large assortment of other electronics will be accepted for recycling free of charge. 

Business waste will not be accepted.
