The Cedar Trails Partnership and Cedar Valley Cyclists are proud to announce the addition of two bicycle maintenance stations on the trails! The stations are located in Gateway Park and Pfieffer Park and provide tools and air pumps to assist cyclists in making simple adjustments to their bicycles while out on the trails.
These units have been made possible thanks to the generosity of the Cedar Valley Cyclists, Friends of Tom Webb, the Cedar Falls Parks Division and the Cedar Trails Partnership. The organizations are hoping to install more stations along the trails system, especially in Waterloo and are seeking additional partners to help with this endeavor.
A dedication is planned for Wednesday, September 10, at 6:30pm at Gateway Park near the parking lot adjacent to the large shelter. The dedication will be followed by the Wednesday On Wheels (W.O.W.) ride which is a weekly community activity sponsored and organized by the Cedar Valley Cyclists.
The Cedar Trails Partnership is dedicated to improving, maintaining and expanding the recreational trail system and to promoting their safe and enjoyable use.
The mission of Cedar Valley Cyclists is to provide various bicycling opportunities to area residents by hosting both recreational and fitness rides. They are also active in bicycle advocacy, bicycle safety and community involvement.
