[ARCHIVED] Seasonal Yard Waste Drop Off and Compost Facility Opens April 1st

Beginning Wednesday, April 1st, residents will be able to dispose of yard waste at the seasonal drop off facility located at the 300 block of East Main Street in Cedar Falls.  This area is north of the river and across the railroad tracks in northern Cedar Falls.

Residents are allowed to bring brush, logs, leaves, garden waste, and grass clippings to this site free of charge.  No garbage or demolition material are accepted at this location.  Brush and twigs are processed separately from the yard and garden waste.  All products are recycled into usable products for use by the public and Municipal Operations and Programs Department. 

This facility is open to residents as follows:

 April  Mon-Fri 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
   Sat 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
 May - Sept.  Tue-Fri 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
   Sat 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
 Oct - Nov.  Mon-Fri 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
   Sat 8:00 AM-3:00 PM

Operating dates or times may be altered depending on usage and weather conditions.
