2.
When does the city begin street sweeping operations in the spring?
Because the sweepers use water to control dust and airborne debris, sweepers are placed in operation when daytime temperatures are warm enough to allow the use of the dust control systems.
3.
Does the city keep up a regular schedule for alley maintenance?
We do not maintain a routine schedule, but instead rely on residents to let us know when an alley is in need of maintenance. Requests for alley maintenance can be made by calling the Public Works Department at (319) 273-8629.
4.
How do I make a request to get a street pothole filled?
Call the Public Works Department at (319) 273-8629 to report the location of a pothole. After hours leave a descriptive message of the location on the voice mailbox.
